Pentagon Name Service

PEGNAMES — Your on-chain identity for humans and agents

Own your name. On-chain. Forever.

PNS gives you a universal identity that works across every Pentagon app, spatial experience, wallet, and agent. One name, one NFT, one you.

Why get a PEG ID?

Your name, your NFT

Your username lives on-chain as an NFT. You own it, not a platform. Trade it, assign it, carry it across every Pentagon ecosystem product.

Universal spatial alias

Your PEG name becomes your spatial URL: peg.gg/yourname and yourname.peg.gg. Share one link. Done.

On-chain name resolution

Like ENS but for Pentagon Chain. Any app can resolve your name to your wallet address directly from the smart contract. No middleman, no DNS.

URL forwarding built in

Set a forward URL on your name NFT. When someone visits yourname.peg.gg, they get redirected to your site, portfolio, or social profile.

Why you need a privacy-first identity now

Your on-chain activity is public. Your wallet is a trail. PEG ID gives you a human-readable layer on top, with optional encrypted storage via Dash Platform. Your data, your keys, your choice about what's visible.

Every PEG Name NFT can carry a Token-Bound Account (TBA), which acts as your on-chain hot wallet. Receive tokens, interact with dApps, and optionally store encrypted data on Dash Platform, all without exposing your main wallet.

All powered by PC (Pentagon Chain's native token). One token for gas, minting, storage, and privacy. No bridging, no extra setup.

For humans and agents alike

PEG ID isn't just for people. AI agents can own a PEG Name too.

Humans

Get your username, set up your profile page, forward your URL, assign your wallet. Use it across Gunnies, PenXR, PentaPets, Dollhouse, Marketplace, and every Pentagon product.

Agents (ANIMA)

AI agents get the same identity infrastructure. They carry a TBA, a Dash identity, and encrypted on-chain storage. Agent-to-agent and agent-to-human communication, all resolved by name, all on Pentagon Chain.

Humans and agents share the same namespace. You can message @king whether king is a person or an AI. The protocol handles the rest.

Name tiers

Names are classified by rarity and value. Shorter, more recognizable names are rarer and live in higher tiers.

TierTypeTradablePrice RangeExamples
Super-High SBT (Soulbound) No* 20-50 PC @pen, @ai, @gg, @elon
High NFT Yes 5-20 PC @king, @moon, @love, @hero
Medium NFT Yes 1-5 PC @michael, @kai, @olivia
Low Off-chain N/A Free @alex2, @player_12

* Super-High SBTs are non-transferable unless unlocked by the contract owner. See disclaimers below.

How name NFTs work

Address binding

Each name NFT can be bound to a wallet address. This is your spatial alias: the address your name resolves to. You can rebind your address anytime for High and Medium tier NFTs.

Multiple names, one address

You can own multiple name NFTs and bind them all to the same wallet. Think of them as aliases that all point to you.

Transfer clears binding

When you sell or transfer a name NFT, the address binding and forward URL are automatically cleared. The new owner sets their own.

Roles

RoleCan do
Contract OwnerRename any name (security/IP). Rebind Super-High SBT addresses.
ModeratorMint new NFTs/SBTs. Assign names + addresses (no duplicates). Cannot rename.

Claiming your name

VIP holders

Existing Pentagon VIP members get priority access:

Hexagon City land owners

Estate and parcel holders from Hexagon City (formerly Cryptoverse) get early access based on land tier:

Public mint

Anyone can search and mint available names at id.peg.gg. Price is determined by AI classification based on name rarity, length, cultural significance, and web presence.

Trading names

High and Medium tier name NFTs are fully tradable. Buy, sell, and trade on PFPVault.com.

When a name changes hands, the new owner gets to bind their own address and set up their profile fresh. All name history is recorded on-chain.

FAQ

What chain is PNS on?
Pentagon Chain (chain ID 3344). Gas and mint fees are paid in PC, the native token.
How is the price determined?
An AI classification system scores each name based on length rarity, dictionary match, cultural/IP significance, web search presence, domain availability, and social handle availability. The score maps to a tier, and the tier determines the price. Results are cached so pricing stays consistent.
Can I change my name after minting?
Only the contract owner can rename on-chain names (for security or IP reasons). If you hold a Low tier (off-chain) name, you can self-rename once every 7 days with a 7-day reclaim window on the old name. For NFT-tier names, the name is permanent unless the contract owner intervenes.
What happens if I own a Super-High name?
Super-High names are Soulbound (SBT) and cannot be transferred unless unlocked by the contract owner. The contract owner also has the right to rename Super-High names for security, IP disputes, or compliance reasons. If a rename occurs, affected holders may be eligible for a refund at the contract owner's discretion. See the disclaimer below.
Can AI agents own names?
Yes. Agents using the ANIMA framework get the same PEG Name NFT with a Token-Bound Account (TBA), a Dash Platform identity, and encrypted storage. Agent names follow the same tier and pricing system.
What is the forward URL feature?
Any name NFT holder can set a forward URL. When someone visits yourname.peg.gg, they get redirected to whatever URL you set (your website, Twitter, portfolio, etc). If no forward URL is set, they see your profile page instead.
How does on-chain name resolution work?
The PNS smart contract stores a mapping from name to wallet address. Any dApp can call the contract to resolve a human-readable name (@king) to its bound EVM address. No centralized DNS, no API dependency, fully on-chain and trustless.
What if someone takes my name?
Names are first-come-first-serve at each tier. VIP and land holders get priority access windows before public mint opens. If someone registers a trademarked name, it may be flagged for manual review and the contract owner may intervene.
Is there a refund if my Super-High name gets renamed?
If the contract owner renames a Super-High SBT for IP, legal, or compliance reasons, affected holders may receive a refund at the contract owner's sole discretion. Refund amounts and timelines are not guaranteed. By minting a Super-High name, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
Where can I trade name NFTs?
High and Medium tier names are tradable NFTs. Trade them on PFPVault.com or any NFT marketplace that supports Pentagon Chain.

DISCLAIMERS

No guarantee of value. Name NFTs are digital collectibles on Pentagon Chain. Their market value may fluctuate or become zero. Pentagon Games makes no representations about the future value, utility, or transferability of any name NFT.

Super-High tier names may be renamed or revoked. Super-High (SBT) names are subject to override by the contract owner at any time for reasons including but not limited to: intellectual property disputes, legal compliance, security concerns, or policy enforcement. If your Super-High name is renamed, a refund may be issued at the sole discretion of the contract owner. No refund is guaranteed. By minting or acquiring a Super-High name, you acknowledge and accept this risk.

AI classification is not legal advice. The name classification system uses AI to assess name rarity and cultural significance. It does not provide legal, trademark, or intellectual property advice. Flagging a name as "premium" or "cultural/IP match" does not constitute a legal opinion. Users are solely responsible for ensuring their chosen name does not infringe on third-party rights.

Pricing is determined algorithmically. Name prices are set by an automated scoring system and cached at the time of first lookup. Prices may be adjusted by the platform in the future. Historical prices are not binding on future transactions.

Smart contract risks. The PNS smart contract is upgradeable (UUPS proxy pattern). While this allows for bug fixes and feature additions, it also means the contract logic may change. Users interact with the contract at their own risk. Pentagon Games is not liable for losses arising from smart contract bugs, exploits, upgrades, or blockchain-level issues.

No guaranteed uptime. The name resolution service, profile pages, and forwarding URLs depend on off-chain infrastructure. Pentagon Games does not guarantee continuous availability of these services. On-chain data (name ownership, address binding) persists independently of off-chain services.

Regulatory uncertainty. Digital assets, NFTs, and name services may be subject to evolving regulations in various jurisdictions. Users are responsible for understanding and complying with applicable laws in their region.

Third-party integrations. PNS may interact with third-party services (Dash Platform, PFPVault, external wallets). Pentagon Games is not responsible for the availability, security, or functionality of third-party services.
